Churches have been the backbone of the community for a very long time. The first church established in Nashua was a Puritan Congregational Church which organized in 1866 and erected a building in 1870. Today, Nashua's churches still serve the community- Congregational, Lutheran, Roman Catholic, United Methodist all congregate at regular times.
